Anthropic 宣布将拨出 5% 股权设立“公益基金”

Anthropic 今日宣布，正在设立一个“公益基金”（public benefit fund），为公司支持社会公益项目提供“更高的灵活性与规模”。

Anthropic 表示，将把公司 5% 的股份注入该基金——该基金在公司内部构建为一个全资实体——并且 Anthropic 估值每增长 50%，还可选择追加投入 2% 的股份。公司还提出了这笔资金未来用途的大致构想，例如“向传统非营利机构提供大额捐赠，或直接向特定群体发放资助”。

Anthropic said that it will commit 5% of its shares to the fund — structured as a wholly-owned entity within the company — with the option to contribute an additional 2% for every 50% increase in Anthropic’s value. And it offered some broad-strokes ideas for how this money might actually be used, such as “large donations to traditional nonprofits or direct distributions to specific populations.”

There’s also the impact that AI might have on the job market, which Anthropic has already committed $200 million to study. But the company said, “Given the pace of AI progress, bolder approaches may be needed. The Fund will have the versatility to pursue them.”

Anthropic’s announcement comes as the AI industry faces increasingly negative public sentiment, which CEO Dario Amodei has described as “fundamentally a crisis of trust.”
